Holding the 23rd weekly webinar on Islam and contemporary issues

In an era where so many of people are working or studying from home and have more flexible timetables, Islamic Centre of England is holding few live interactive webinars in different topics such as weekly webinar on Islam and contemporary issues.

The weekly webinar on Islam and contemporary issues is held live every Monday at 18:00 on virtual networks such as Zoom, YouTube and Facebook. 

The twenty-Third session of this webinar, which was held on Monday, February 22, 2021, dedicated its topic to the following subject: 

“Malcolm X: The role of Islam in the African American liberation experience”

In this meeting, which was addressed by HIWM Sheikh Ahmed Haneef, he spoke for 40 minutes on the subject of the meeting.

Shaikh Ahmed Haneef is a Canadian Shia scholar who studied both in the classical university system in Canada and in the traditional hawzah system in Qom, Iran.

He studied political science, psychology and social work at York University and McMaster University and specialised in Islamic philosophy in Howzah Ilmiyyah in Qom, Iran.

At the second part of the meeting in the Q&A section, the meeting’s moderator, Mr. Seyed Mahdi Abedi, read the questions raised by the participants in the meeting and the speaker answered them. 

The session, which lasted 60 minutes, ended at 19:00.
