In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
“All praise belongs to Allah who guided us to this. We would have never been guided had not Allah guided us.”
The Holy Month of Ramadan, the month in which the Qur’an was revealed and the month of worship and salvation, has ended. Blessed are those who took provisions of God-wariness from this month and with it, built their houses in the Hereafter; those faithful servants who benefited from this blessed divine banquet by fasting, reciting the Qur’an, praying and supplicating to their Lord, and are deserving of a unique spiritual reward.
Eid al-Fitr is a day of reward and blessings for the believers and the pious, and a gift from Allah the Almighty to the believers who purified their hearts and expelled evil from their souls by fasting and replaced it with sincerity and faith.
In reality, this great Eid is the day of man’s rebirth, and we must be thankful to Allah for allowing us to experience another month of Ramadan and another Eid al-Fitr.
I hope that all of you God-seeking believers have found the opportunity to make the most out of this divine banquet and become examples of the words of the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei (may Allah prolong his life) who said, “The month of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr will be blessed once the Muslims can use this opportunity to build themselves and develop a pure life.”
I hope all of your worship during this blessed month is accepted, and I offer my congratulations to the Imam of our Time, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution and all Muslims on this great Eid al-Fitr. I ask Allah the Almighty to bestow salvation, honour and pride upon everyone; I pray for the recovery and health of all patients, especially those afflicted with the coronavirus, and I pray for the forgiveness of all who have passed away.
I would also like to thank the audience of the Islamic Centre of England from the depths of my heart for attending the programmes before iftar and the nights of Qadr, as well as their enthusiastic support on social media. Without a doubt, we are greatly encouraged by the widespread reception of the religious and cultural programmes of this centre, which are presented in four languages and the broadcast of the adhan and supplications from the holy shrines in Iraq, Syria and Iran, as well as our special morning programme during this month. We thank Allah the Almighty for this great blessing, and we hope to meet all of you dear friends in this centre in perfect health so we can further acquaint ourselves with the Qur’an and the Ahlulbayt (a.s).
In the end, as he who does not thank the creation does not thank the Creator, I must thank all our dear friends for their tireless efforts and services during this holy month and the valuable programmes during the month of Ramadan, produced in different languages and provided to the believers. I wish them and their honourable families increasing success, health and long life.
O’ Allah, in the final hours of this month, include us in Your endless mercy, forgive our sins, and don’t make this farewell of ours our final farewell with this dear month.
