Joint statement from Shia Muslim scholars in UK regarding Syed Al Shohada School Kabul

 “بسم الله الرحمن الرحیم “

“و مَنْ‌ قُتِلَ‌ مَظْلُوماً فَقَدْ جَعَلْنَا لِوَلِيِّهِ‌ سُلْطَانا”

“And whoever is killed wrongfully, we have certainly given his heir authority”

The heart-rending incident involving the martyrdom and injuries of many innocent children and oppressed people of Syed-Ush Shuhada school in Afghanistan has brought great sorrow to the Muslims in general and particularly to Shia Muslims of Dasht-e-barchi. This cowardly act was perpetrated by a fringe group of barbaric individuals oblivious to Divine teachings, animalistic and utterly devoid of humanity without even caring about the sanctity of Ramadan, a month of mercy and divine banquet. It shook the hearts of every free man and brought great sorrow and grief to Islamic world and Muslims. This brutally savage incident has left a large number of fasting Muslim families mournful and dealt a deadly blow to the embodiment of Islam.

Such incidents necessitate that the Islamic countries and the Ummah of the Holy Prophet of Islam (peace be upon him and his family), more than ever, need unity and solidarity and they must shun their silence in the face of these heinous crimes. The incessant acts of violence in Afghanistan and Palestine have shown the baser side of the predators in the garb of human’s time and again. What is currently happening in occupied Palestine, where innocent women, children and citizens are being attacked by the Zionist occupiers must not be ignored. We must continue to condemn this inhumane act that has tarnished the benevolent image of Islam in the eyes of the world.

Muslim countries must unite to support the oppressed Palestinian men, women and children who are being slaughtered left, right and centre by the murderous Zionist regime. We must express our disgust and detestation towards the atrocities committed by the terrorist state of Israel, simultaneously expressing our sympathies with the Palestinian brothers and sisters and the affected families of the martyrs in Afghanistan.

While condemning this harrowing incident, and extending our condolences and sympathies to all the mourning families and the honourable nation of Afghanistan, we ask God Almighty to bestow his special mercy and grace upon the souls of the dear martyrs of these events and to grant immediate and complete healing to the sick and the wounded.

“And victory comes only from Allah, the All-mighty, the All-wise”
