Holding the 16th session of the new series weekly webinar on Islam and contemporary issues
In an era where so many of people are working or studying from home and have more flexible timetables, Islamic Centre of England is holding few live interactive discussions in different speakers and topics such as weekly webinar on Islam and contemporary issues.
The new series of weekly webinar on Islam and contemporary issues is held live every Monday at 18:00 on virtual networks such as Zoom, YouTube and Facebook.
The 16th session of this webinar, which was held on Monday, August 2nd, 2021, dedicated its topic to the following subject:
“Scientism and it’s Role in the Contemporary Identity Crisis”
In this meeting, which was addressed by HIWM Shaikh Ahmed, he spoke for 35 minutes on the subject of the meeting.
HIWM Shaikh Ahmed Haneef is a Canadian Shia scholar who studied both in the classical university system in Canada and in the traditional hawzah system in Qom, Iran.
He studied political science, psychology and social work at York University and McMaster University and specialised in Islamic philosophy in Howzah Ilmiyyah in Qom, Iran.
At the second part of the meeting in the Q&A section, the meeting’s moderator, Mr. Seyed Mahdi Abedi, ask the questions raised by the participants in the meeting and the speaker answered them.
The session, which lasted 50 minutes, ended at 18:50.
