HIWM Seyed Hashim Moosavi, the director of the Islamic Centre of England issued a statement condemning the terrorist attack on civilians at the Seyedabad Mosque in Afghanistan province of Kunduz which was absolutely a violation of human rights and international rights too.
The text of this statement is as follows:
In the name of God
بِأَيِّ ذَنبٍ قُتِلَتْ
The terrorist attack on the Seyedabad Shiite mosque in Kunduz which killed more than a hundred worshipers and followers of the household of the Prophet of Islam and left more than 200 people injured is truly an interpretation of the holy verse (بِأَيِّ ذَنبٍ قُتِلَتْ). This is a symbol of the hostility and anger of a foolish group in Afghanistan.
This horrible crime has hurt the heart of every free human being. The continuation of these terrorist acts would double the need for serious attention of the international community, especially for the Islamic world to end the thought and organization of terrorism and also to compensate for it is nothing but a trial and a firm response.
Hence, I offer my deep condolences to the oppressed people, especially the Shiites of Afghanistan for this barbaric crime perpetrated by extremist groups, colonialists, and false human rights claimants. I ask God Almighty for injured ones to be recovered immediately, forgiveness for the victims, and huge patience as well as a great reward for their survivors in this tragic incident.
Seyed Hashem Moosavi
Director of the Islamic Centre of England
