Eid al-Fitr prayers were held in London three times at the Islamic Centre of England with indescribable glory. In the first round of this magnificent prayer, the main hall, reception hall, and courtyard of the Islamic Centre of England were full of worshipers from different nationalities the way everyone from outside of the Islamic Centre of England could understand the magnificence of this event. Another great image pictured in this event was the attendance of the children who fasted in the month of Ramadhan for the first time and received their presents from the Director of the Islamic Centre of England after the prayer. HIWM Seyed Hashem Moosavi said in the first sermon of the Eid prayer: ‘The Auspicious Eid al-Fitr is the day of birth and blooming of the man for another time. We must thank Allah SWT Who gave us the success to attend another Eid al-Fitr prayer after two years of quarantine caused by the Corona Virus. The director of the Islamic Centre of England thanked all believers who expressed their hatred for the oppressors and expressed their support for the oppressed ones on various occasions this month of Ramadan.’ HIWM Seyed Hashem Moosavi in the second sermon of Eid al-Fitr prayer referred to a narration from Amir al-Mu’minin Imam Ali (AS) and said: ‘The real Eid day is a day in which no sin is committed. Therefore those who benefited from a month of fasting stayed away from the sins and enjoyed the forgiveness of Allah SWT, do not miss the divine rewards, but maintaining these blessings from the month of Ramadhan is more important than this divine reward.’ The director of the Islamic Centre of England, emphasizing on the importance of the scholars’ continuous efforts to enlighten the people and also people’s role in benefiting from this opportunity, said: ‘The scholars are the heirs of the prophets and if they are abandoned, the prophets are abandoned and as a result, the divine books will be abandoned and this will cause the complaint of the holy Prophet to include all of us who will complain in the day of judgment: ‘O my Lord, indeed my people have abandoned this Qur’an.” The director of the Islamic Centre of England also thanked all the attendants of the programmes at the Islamic Centre of England in the month of Ramadhan and those who followed it on the social media eagerly from the bottom of his heart for their warm presence in the programmes and Iftar ceremonies, as well as the nights of Qadr and, said: ‘Holding the programmes in four different languages, especially the morning programme in preparation for fasting before the dawn time and broadcasting the call to prayer (Adhan) from the holy shrines in Iraq, Syria, and Iran was encouraging for the servants of the Islamic Centre of England.’ After the Eid al-Fitr sermons, two more Eid prayers were offered for worshipers who had come to the Islamic Centre of England from far and from work. The director of the Islamic Centre of England also announced the formation of the committee for the moonsighting in the Islamic Centre of England in Ramadan 2023.
