The Islamic Centre of England Covered with the Banners of Imam Hussein(A.S)

On the occasion of the month of mourning for the martyrs of Karbala, Imam Hussain (peace be upon him), the Islamic Centre of England was covered with black banners commemorating this occasion.

A mourning ceremony will be held at the Islamic Centre of England, with the titles of the rise of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) and the examination of the outstanding characteristics of the companions of Imam Hussein (peace be upon them) in the first ten days of Muharram 1444 (2022) in four languages.

  1. Education for teenagers and youth with mourning rituals from 17.00 to 19.00 hrs.

This programme will be held by the Bani Hashem Foundation, are held in the main hall of the Islamic Centre of England from 30th July to 7th August.

  1. The Arabic Programme will be held from 19:30 until Maghrib Adhan.

The mourning ceremony for Aba Abdillah al-Hussein (AS) is held in Arabic from the 29th July to 8th August, with speeches by HIWM Seyyed Ali Hosseini and eulogies by Mr. Seyyed Jafar Mousavi and Mullah Al-Darraazi in the main hall of the Islamic Centre of England.

  1. The Urdu Programme will start at 19:00 hrs until Maghrib Adhan:

The mourning ceremony of Abba Abdillah Al-Hussein (AS) is held in Urdu simultaneously with the Arabic programme from 19:00 hrs on the middle floor of the Islamic Centre with the speech of HIWM Mirza Noor Al-Hassan and eulogies by Seyed Kashif Naqvi and Seyed Zafar Irfan from 30th July to 8th August.

  1. Muharram for Children from 19:30 hrs until Maghrib Adhan:

From Friday, 29th July to Monday 8th August, from 19:30 hrs to Maghrib Adhan, the Islamic Centre of England has organized a cultural and educational programme for children aged 6 to 12 years old with the aim of introducing the Islamic values demonstrated by Imam Hussein AS and his loyal companions in their movement.

Painting, Husseini video clips, theatre, drawing and face painting, storytelling and mourning with children’s performances are included in the programme.

  1. Maghrib and Isha Prayers in Congregation:

Maghrib and Isha prayers are offered on time lead by HIWM Seyed Hashem Moosavi, the director of the Islamic Centre of England.

  1. Farsi Programmes after Maghrib prayers:

Mourning ceremonies in Persian are held from 29th July to 8th August 2022, immediately after Maghrib and Isha prayers followed by recitation of the Ziarat Ashura followed by speeches by HIWM Dr. Ahmad Vaezi and eulogies by Mr. Hamid Akbari for the first five nights and for the other nights with speeches by HIWM Seyed Hashem Moosavi the director of the Islamic Centre of England and eulogies by Hajj Ali Moslai.

  1. The English Programmes are be from 21:30 hrs to 23:30 hrs.

The mourning ceremony of Imam Hussain (AS) is held in cooperation with the  Ahlul Bait Islamic Mission (AIM) from 31st July to 9th August from 21:00 hrs to 23:30 hrs at the Mohammadi Trust. HIWM Seyyed Abbas Alia delivers a series of speeches in English, and Mullah Al-Darazi, Nuruddin Al-Kazemi and Mohammad Baqir Esa and Seyyed Zaigham Ali Shan will recite eulogies.

  1. Book exhibition

The Islamic Centre of England holds a book exhibition on the occasion of the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (AS) and his companions this year from 29th July 2022 for ten days from 18:30 hrs to 23:30 hrs.

During the fair, a book competition for children and teenagers will be held, and all books and cultural products will be offered at a 30% discount.

  1. Special Ashura Commemoration

The special Ashura commemoration will be announced soon Insha Allah.

  1. Catering:

At the end of each program, food will be provided sponsored by the lovers of Imam Hussein (AS) and his companions and prepared by the Islamic Centre of England.
