Regulations for Select and Award servants of the Holy Qur’an in the West

Introduction:

According to the plan, the Islamic Centre of England will hold an annual Select and Award process for servants of the Holy Qur’an in the West and will introduce the selected servants of the Holy Qur’an during the holy month of Ramadan.

Article 1: Definition of Qur’an servant:

The servant of the Qur’an refers to a person who has provided a special service to the sacred field of the Holy Qur’an in the form of the topics and framework contained in this regulation.

Article 2: Necessities and goals of selecting the servants of the Holy Qur’an in the West:

2-1- Recognizing and appreciating the prominent servants of the Holy Qur’an in the West

2-2- Modelling for young people in the field of Quranic activities

2-3- Motivating the new generation to work in the field of Qur’an

2-4- Introducing the achievements and Quranic products of the servants of the Qur’an

Article 3: Sections for selecting the servants of the Holy Qur’an in the West:

The Servants of the Holy Qur’an in the West in 5 different sections will be selected and introduced as follows:

– Educational

– Research

– Artistic

– Technology and media

– Management

For each year, 1 – 3 people in each of these five sections are selected and introduced as the servants of the Holy Qur’an in the West.

Article 4: Geographical distribution of the servants of the Holy Qur’an in the West:

Servants of the Holy Qur’an in the West can be selected from the continents of Europe, the Americas and Oceania according to the provisions of this regulation. The criterion is the residence of the servants at the time of candidacy and the announcement of their names and the mentioned country should be their official and current residence.

Article 5: The process of selecting the servants of the Holy Qur’an in the West:

This process is done in 5 steps as follows:

Each of these steps is described below:

5-1- Announcing the five criteria and areas + call for introduction

At this stage, while announcing the five criteria and areas for selecting the servants of the Holy Qur’an, all those interested in the sacred field of the Holy Qur’an are invited to nominate their candidates to be selected as the servants of the Holy Qur’an in the West.

5-2- Identifying and introducing candidates

In addition to the public call and the centre itself; the Secretariat for the Selection of the Holy Quran’s Servants in the West will identify and nominate qualified individuals as the Holy Qur’an servants.

5-3- Initial evaluation and grading by the secretariat

During and after completing the list of candidates for the servants of the Holy Qur’an in the West, the initial evaluation and grading of the candidates will be done according to the criteria set out in this regulation.

5-4- Final evaluation by the jury

The initial scores and evaluations made by the Secretariat will be provided to the jury at a later stage. Each of the five areas of selection of Quranic servants will have an experienced and specialized jury. The jury will write their points and evaluations of each candidate and submit them to the board of trustees for the selection of the servants of the Holy Qur’an in the West.

5-5- Final approval of the servants by the Board of Trustees

The opinions and privileges given to the candidates and their opinions for the selection of the servants of the Holy Qur’an each year are finally reviewed by the board of trustees and the necessary decisions are made.

Article 6: Announcing and glorifying the servants of the Holy Qur’an in the West:

Every year, on the occasion of the blessed birth of Imam Hassan Mojtaba (AS) on the 15th of Ramadan – the spring of the Qur’an – a ceremony is held to introduce and celebrate the servants of the Qur’an in the West.

Note: If more time is needed to review and select the servants of the Quran and prepare the ceremony, with the approval of the Board of Trustees, a program to honour the servants will be held at the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

Article 7: The structure of the secretariat for select and award the servants of the Qur’an in the West:

The following figure shows the structure of the Secretariat for the Select and Award of the Servants of the Holy Qur’an in the West:

The Secretariat for the Select and Award of the Servants of the Holy Qur’an in the West is based in the Islamic Centre of England and is headed by the Director of the Islamic Centre of England.

Article 8: Criteria for selecting the servants of the Holy Qur’an in the West:

Two categories of general and specific criteria will be considered for selecting the servants of the Holy Qur’an in the West.

The following figure shows a general classification of specific criteria.

  1. A) General criteria for selecting the servants of the Holy Quran in the West:

– Performing a prominent work in the field of the Holy Qur’an, the effect of which has been influential at the international level or at least at the national level.

– Having a good reputation and good Islamic moral behaviour

 

  1. B) Specific criteria for selecting the servants of the Holy Qur’an in the West:

B – 1: Specific criteria for selecting the servants of the Holy Qur’an in the field of “Education”:

– Extensive general teaching of the Qur’an for different classes

– Specialized training of Qur’an

– Training Qur’an teachers in different fields

– Compilation of educational contents of the Holy Qur’an

– Having a unique and special teaching method and style in teaching the Qur’an

– The level of familiarity and use of new technologies for teaching the Holy Qur’an

– Effective presence in social networks and media to introduce and offer their Quranic educational services and products

 

B – 2: Specific criteria for selecting servants of the Holy Qur’an in the field of “Research”:

– Conducting effective research in fields related to the concepts or sciences of the Holy Qur’an

– Writing and publishing original books in fields related to the concepts or sciences of the Holy Qur’an

– Writing and publishing Quranic scientific articles in prestigious international journals

– Familiarity and promotion of standard research methods in Quranic fields

– Ability to use new technologies to conduct Quranic research more effectively

– Translation of the Holy Qur’an into different languages

– Methodical interpretation of the Holy Qur’an thematically or based on the surahs of the Holy Qur’an

– Effective presence in social networks and media to offer their Quranic research services and products

– Attending, lecturing and presenting your research results in prestigious international conferences

 

B – 3: Specific criteria for selecting servants of the Holy Quran in the field of “Art”:

– Creating original and accurate works of art in fields related to the concepts or sciences of the Holy Qur’an

– Training and education of Quranic artists

– Effective presence in social networks and media to offer their Quranic art services and products

– Attending and being selected in international competitions and exhibitions in the fields of art and Qur’an

 

B – 4: Specific criteria for selecting the servants of the Holy Quran in the field of “Technology and Media”:

– Design and implementation of new technologies – such as augmented reality, virtual reality, applications, holograms and information systems – related to concepts or Quranic sciences

– Participate and be selected in international competitions and exhibitions related to new technologies

– Publishing articles and books in Quranic technological fields

– Outstanding services in the field of Quranic information and news

– Production and dissemination of Quranic products and concepts using modern media tools

 

B – 5: Specific criteria for selecting the servants of the Holy Qur’an in the field of “Management”:

– Management of important Quranic activities and events at the national and international levels

– Providing financial support and facilities for Quranic activities through various sources

– Endowment for Quranic purposes and purposes

– Establishment of national and international organizations, institutions and organizations in the field of the Holy Qur’an

– Innovation in designing, organizing, providing resources and implementing various Quranic programs and events

 

Article 9: Three ways to identify and introduce the servants of the Qur’an in the West:

To compile the initial list of Quranic servants in the West, the following three paths will be used:

As seen above, in route 1; the identification of the servants, the Islamic centres located in the west will be asked to introduce the Quranic servants that they know in their mission area in the form of the 5 areas introduced in this regulation.

In Route 2, in the form of a public call and announcement, all those interested in the sacred field of the Holy Qur’an are asked to nominate and nominate people they know who have performed a worthy service in the field of the Holy Qur’an.

In Route 3, the five working groups of the Secretariat of the Quranic Servants in the West will identify the Quranic servants in the 5 areas.

All the servants who are identified using these three paths will enter the judging and scoring process mentioned in this regulation.

Article 10: Establishment of the Assembly of Servants of the Holy Quran in the West

All servants who are identified through the three paths contained in this regulation – regardless of whether or not they are selected as the custodians of the Qur’an in the scoring process – become members of the Assembly of the Servants of the Holy Qur’an in the West. Details on how this forum operates will be provided separately in another regulation.

 

 

Article 11: Annual schedule of selection of Quranic servants in the West:

The table below shows the annual schedule for selecting Quranic servants in the West.

According to the work and time requirements of each year – especially for the first year – it is possible to make changes in the above schedule based on the discretion of the Secretariat of the Servants of the Qur’an.
