Give Iftar to the Guests of Allah
In the blessed month of Ramadan, providing Iftar to those who are fasting is a deeply rewarding act of charity. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, “Whoever gives food for a fasting person to break his fast, he will have a reward like theirs, without that detracting from their reward in the slightest” . This noble gesture not only brings immense spiritual rewards but also strengthens bonds within our community.We invite you to contribute to this meaningful cause by donating a minimum of £5, which covers the cost of one Iftar meal. You are welcome to donate as much as you wish, and your generosity will help ensure that everyone attending our Iftar ceremony.

Support of Children's Islamic Education

The Islamic Centre of England is currently providing religious education to hundreds of children and young people. These cultural and educational activities include teaching the Qur’an, Islamic beliefs, religious rulings, and moral values. Your participation in supporting this noble effort, in addition to its spiritual reward, contributes to the advancement of the Muslim community through nurturing a righteous and faithful generation.

“Those who in charity spend of their goods by night and by day, in secret and in public, have their reward with their Lord: on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve” (Qur’an,  2:274)

Fitriyya-Sadat (فطریه سادات)
Fitra (or Fitryya or Zakat-ul-Fitra) must be paid by Sadaat before Salat-ul-Eid. Zakat-ul-Fira (Fitriyya) for the year 2026 is £7 per person.

Fitriyya Non-Sadat (فطریه غیرسادات)
Fitra (or Fitryya or Zakat-ul-Fitra) must be paid by Non-Sadaat before Salat-ul-Eid. Zakat-ul-Fira (Fitriyya) for the year 2026 is £7 per person

Khums means one-fifth of a person’s annual net savings during his financial year. Paying Khums to the Imam of the Time or his deputy is obligatory. Khums must be divided into two portions. One portion goes to Sadaat (the descendants of Muhammad (SAWAS), and the other goes to the Imam of the time or his deputy. Khums is used to propagate Islam and assist needy people, etc. 

Fidya (فدیه)
If someone cannot fast in Ramadan with a valid reason (e.g. Illness, pregnancy or old age), he/she must pay Fidya. The amount of ّFidya for the year 2026 is £2 per day.

Fasting Kaffara ( کفــاره روزه)
If someone breaks or misses a fast in the holy month of Ramadan intentionally without a valid reason, he/she must pay Kaffarah. The amount of Kaffara for the year 2026 is £120 per day.

Other Kaffarat ( سایر کفارات)

Non-Ramadan fasting kaffārat refer to those required due to certain religious violations such as breaking an oath, ẓihār, or some actions committed during the state of ihram in Hajj or Umrah. These expiations are usually fulfilled by feeding the needy, fasting, or other prescribed acts according to Islamic rulings.
