Quranic Competition 2023

The Islamic Centre of England and Majlis E Ulama Shia of Europe have initiated a Quran Competition for the UK and Southern Ireland with the cooperation of different other Islamic Centres to encourage the kids and teens to learn Quran not only in the level of recitation and memorisation but also for learning the enlightening teachings of this holy book and also practising its instructions.

This competition for Kids & Teens will be held in the United Kingdom and Southern Ireland in March 2023 in four fields and two age groups. Quran Memorisation, Quran Recitation, Quranic Concepts, and Drawing Qur’anic Concepts are the four fields of this competition.

The competition will be held for two age groups. Children between 5 to 9 years old, and teens between 10 to 15 years old are very welcome to this competition.

The competition will be held in two different levels: Selective & Final. The selective competitions will be held in different towns, cities, and counties across the UK including England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern & Southern Ireland. Those attendees who will reach the competition’s threshold will be registered to attend the Final Level. The Final level will be held in London in March 2023.

The selective competitions could be held either online or in-person (provided that there’s no Islamic Centre in the attendee’s city to hold the selective level of the competition. Further arrangements will be made on an individual basis with the applicants.

The main theme of this competition is: Quran for Life. This highlights the importance of the practical implications of Quranic concepts in our lives. Without having a Quranic lifestyle, our Quran memorisation and recitation alone do not bring us to the valuable destination targeted by our Allah SWT.
