The Grand Community Bazaar: a Symbol of Unity, Cooperation, and Solidarity

On the occasion of the auspicious birth anniversary of Lady Fatima Zahra (peace be upon her), the Grand Community Bazaar of the Islamic Centre of England was held, welcoming more than 2,000 visitors. The event provided an opportunity to promote unity, cooperation, and solidarity among the diverse nationalities living in London.

Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Sayyid Hashem Mousavi, Imam of the Islamic Centre of England, visited all the stalls and engaged in conversations with vendors and visitors. After listening to their views and suggestions, he expressed his appreciation to all those who took part in the bazaar.

He emphasised that this bazaar, held with the aim of unity and mutual understanding, was not merely a place for buying and selling, but rather a vibrant space for cultural interaction, the exchange of knowledge and experiences, and the strengthening of national and religious identity.

This one-day bazaar was held on 14 December 2025 with the participation of 87 vendors, offering visitors from all walks of life a joyful and pleasant day. A wide range of goods were available, including cultural and social products, handicrafts, bags and shoes, books, clothing, traditional foods from various countries, sweets, jewellery, and accessories.

A dedicated section of the bazaar was also allocated to children’s entertainment, including painting and children’s games.

Admission to the exhibition was free and open to the public.
