A grand celebration was held at the Islamic Centre of England on the occasion of festivities for the blessed, Amir al-Momineen Imam Ali (pbuh).
This ceremony, which was held on Wednesday 24th January 2024, began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, in the presence of enthusiastic young people who love Imam Ali (pbuh), The Ahl al-Bayt (pbut) were praised by eulogists who brought a special excitement and joy to the ceremony.
In this ceremony, three speakers spoke in Arabic, English and Farsi languages.
The first speaker was Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimin Seyyed Qassim Jalali, who in a speech referred to the divine and acquired virtues of Imam Ali (pbuh). He said that one of the divine dimensions of the virtues of Imam Ali (pbuh) was the place of his birth. He (pbuh), Amir al-Momineen Imam Ali (pbuh) was born in the House of God after the wall of the Kaaba split by the permission of God. One of the wonders of the birth in Kaaba is that after many centuries and numerous repairs, the effect of this gap is still visible on the House of God. He also pointed to the acquired virtue of Imam Ali (pbuh) and added: According to the verses and traditions, he was the first Muslim and the first mankind to pray behind the Prophet (pbuh).
In this ceremony, Sheikh Mirza Abbas also introduced the life of Amir al-Mominin Imam Ali (pbuh) over five periods. These including His birth to the time of the Prophet’s (pbuh) mission, mission to migration, migration to death, death to caliphate, and from caliphate to his own martyrdom. He added: Imam Ali (pbuh) always tried to establish justice throughout his life. He fought three wars in the four years of his rule, Even the Battle of Jamel was to prove justice and finally he was martyred in the cause of justice. He said that it is necessary to recognize Imam Ali (pbuh) and after knowing Imam Ali (pbuh), without any doubt one reaches a station that is beyond the human position. The Prophet (pbuh) said, “No one knows you Ali, except God and I.”
In the Persian section of the programme, Hujjat al Islam Bakhtiari, said: Imam Ali (pbuh) had unique characteristics in the world. He was born in the Kaaba, father of two infallible Imams (pbut), having an infallible wife (pbuh), being the first Muslim after the Prophet (pbuh), accompanying the Prophet (pbuh) in the cave of Hara and being martyred in the mosque while praying on the nights of Qadr. These are among the unique characteristics of Amir al-Momineen. Imam Ali (pbuh) that can be counted.
Hujjat al-Islam Bakhtiari, referring to Sunni sources highlighted: that the Prophet (pbuh) said, “Knowledge of Prophet Adam, determination of Prophet Noah, courage of Prophet Abraham, wisdom of Prophet Moses and asceticism of Prophet Jesus (pbut) were manifested in Imam Ali (pbuh).
