إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعونَ
The news of the passing of the esteemed scholar, Ayatollah Sayyid Fadhil Hosseini Milani, has deeply saddened and grieved us. Although this ascension on the day of the Prophet of Mercy’s demise and the martyrdom of his elder grandson is a divine gift for the departed beloved, this great loss leaves an irreplaceable void in the hearts of the community that had flourished with his blessed presence.
Ayatollah Milani, may Allah have mercy on him, was a person who dedicated his precious life to the service of religion and the upbringing of future generations. For years, he was a shining beacon of knowledge and guidance for the Islamic community in the West and a symbol of virtue and piety.
I extend my heartfelt condolences for this great tragedy and the loss of this eminent personality to the grand maraji’, righteous scholars and the esteemed Milani family, especially his honourable sons. I pray to Almighty Allah for His vast mercy and divine forgiveness for this departed scholar, and I ask for beautiful patience and immense reward for his respected family and all his survivors.
