Tebyan School students celebrate birth of Imam Mahdi (atf)

A special ceremony was held to mark the blessed birth anniversary of the Saviour of Humanity, Imam Sahib al-Zaman, Imam al-Mahdi (AJ), on Saturday and Sunday, 7–8 February 2026. The event was attended by teachers, parents, and young Qur’anic students of Tebyan School, an educational programme affiliated with the Islamic Centre of England.

The celebration began following the congregational prayer and opened with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an by one of the students. Another pupil then contributed to the uplifting atmosphere by performing a devotional song and poetry in praise of Imam al-Mahdi, creating a warm and reflective setting for those present.

The programme featured a range of creative and educational activities, including nasheeds, short video presentations, and multimedia performances in both Arabic and Persian, all centred on themes of hope, justice, and spiritual renewal associated with Imam al-Mahdi.

One of the most engaging highlights for the students was a Qur’anic memorisation challenge focused on Ayat al-Kursi, alongside interactive activities encouraging positive character, community responsibility, and thoughtful reflection on the concept of preparing for a better future. The enthusiasm and participation of the children were particularly notable throughout these sessions.

The ceremony concluded with the distribution of prizes to competition winners, as well as small gifts for students who shared the name “Mahdi.” The event ended on a joyful note with cake and sweets served to all attendees, leaving families and children with a strong sense of community and celebration.
