On the occasion of the blessed anniversary of the Prophetic Mission (Mab‘ath) of the Noble Prophet of Islam, the film “The Message” was screened at the Islamic Centre of England on Saturday, 17 January 2026. The event was warmly attended by members of the Muslim community residing in London.
Held on the occasion of the celebration of Mab‘ath, the screening aimed to deepen the audience’s understanding of the birth of Islam and the mission of the final Messenger of God, Prophet Muhammad (s). The initiative highlighted the universal values of peace, justice, and moral integrity that lie at the heart of Islam’s message.
Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimin Sayyid Hashem Moosavi, Imam of the Islamic Centre of England, was present at the event and personally welcomed the attendees. Speaking on the sidelines of the screening, he noted that one of the centre’s key objectives is to diversify its cultural and educational activities and to create welcoming spaces for families. He emphasised that encouraging the participation of children and youth was a central aim, allowing the younger generation to become familiar with the origins of Islam and the life and mission of the Prophet in a warm and uplifting environment.
The film “The Message,” which portrays the early days and birth of Islam, presents the struggles faced by the first Muslim community, the challenges encountered by the Prophet and his companions, and the spread of Islam’s teachings. Through powerful storytelling, it offers viewers a vivid insight into the formative period of Islamic history.
The screening was open to the public and free of charge, and guests were warmly hosted throughout the event, reflecting the centre’s spirit of hospitality and community engagement.
