Eid al-Fitr salat, will be performed in The Islamic Centre of England

The Islamic Centre of England is proud to congratulate you on Eid al-Fitr in advance. (Eid Mubarak). We are honoured to host only 30 brothers and sisters of faith for Eid al-Fitr Salat, starting at 9:00 AM on Eid al-Fitr day.
This event will be held in full compliance with Covid-19 related health instructions such as wearing a mask and observing social distance. It should be noted that the attendees will be those who reserve their places by registering their names on this page.
Zakat al-Fitra and Kaffarah (Fidya)
Zakāt al-fiṭra or zakāt al-fiṭr is an obligatory act in Shari’a which means to give charity to the needy, by certain amount and method of calculation, on the day of Eid al-Fitr. The mandatory amount of zakat al-fitra upon each person –based on the usual leading food- is one sa’ (around 3 Kg.) of either of wheat, barley, date, or raisin; or its equal in cash. This year the amount of Zakat al-Fitra is calculated around £5 and Kaffarah (Fidya) £2. For this purpose, you can use different payment methods below:
I) Online payments or cheques

2. Sending a cheque to the Islamic Centre of England with Ref. Zakat al-Fitra to our address: Maida Vale, London W9 1QB
If the payee is a Sayyid, please let us know.
1. II) In-person payments
You can visit the Islamic Centre of England and place it in the relevant boxes.
Important Notes:
1. If, for any reason, you are unable to attend, please cancel your reservation online or call us at least five hours before Adhan time so that your place can be given to another brother or sister.
2. Please observe all Covid-19 mandatories during your presence in the Centre. As following:
• Face mask must be worn at all-time.
• No handshaking.
• Keep your shoes in plastic bags (It will be available at the reception).
• After removing your shoes, please wear plastic shoe covers at all time. (It would be offered to you upon your arrival)
4. Due to the health restrictions, please refrain from bringing children under the age of five. It is also recommended for the sick and elderly over the age of eighty not to attend the Centre.
5. Please bring your prayer mat and Turbah with you.
6. Due to the covid-19 guidelines, the toilets of the Centre cannot be used.
