The mourning ceremony for the martyrdom of Imam Hadi (pbuh) at the Islamic Centre of England

The mourning ceremony for the martyrdom of Imam Hadi (pbuh) was held at the Islamic Centre of England in three languages, Arabic, English and Farsi, in the presence of the devotees of Ahl al-Bayt (pbut).

In this ceremony, which was held on 14th of January 2024, started with the recitation of the words of Allah from Quran e Majeed, Hojjat al-Islam Sheikh Afzal Mirali spoke in both Arabic and English, referred to the special conditions and dominance of the Abbasid government.

The challenges of the time of Imam Hadi (pbuh) were not only political, religious and intellectual, but the Imam (pbuh) made a lot of efforts to clear the doubts and guide the public opinion in those difficult and suffocating conditions.

In the continuation of his speech, he explained the poems of Imam Hadi (pbuh) in English about asceticism in the world and self-cultivation.

In the Farsi part of this ceremony, Hojjat al-Islam Sheikh Muhammad Ruhollah Bakhtiari pointed out the many scientific works of Imam Hadi (pbuh) and added: These works are a way-opener and a light of guidance in our daily life. He said: Ziaraat of Ghadiriya and the Jamia Kabira of Imam Hadi (pbuh) are among the most penetrating, precious stones and highly respected Shia works.

Hojjat-ul-Islam Bakhtiari narrated Imam Hadi (pbuh)’s tradition: According to the interpretation of this great Imam (pbuh), the world is like a market that is beneficial for some and harmful for others, so we are trading with the capital of our lives in this market day and night, and we should know that, How do we trade?

At the end of this ceremony, the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) mourners lamented on the oppressed martyrdom of Imam Ali al-Naqi (pbuh) in Arabic and Persian languages.
