On the occasion of the Mab’bath of the Great Prophet of Islam, Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (PBUH), a grand celebration ceremony was held at the Islamic Centre of England.
This ceremony was held on 7th February 2024, in the presence of different nationalities and in three languages, Arabic, English, and Persian.
HIWM Seyed Hashem Moosavi, the Imam of the Islamic Centre of England, gave speeches in both English and Persian, explaining the characteristics of the Prophet of Mercy (pbuh). He talked about influencing the culture and thoughts of others by citing the hadith attributed to the Infallible Imams (pbut), “The paths to God are the souls of the creatures.” He emphasized on the use of various tools and opportunities which are available in alternative culture.
The Imam of the Islamic Centre of England also pointed to the influential characteristics of the great Prophet of Islam (pbuh) and said: good nature and kindness, accommodation and faithfulness to one’s covenant were the three outstanding characteristics of the great Prophet of Islam (pbuh). Together with these and other characteristics of that Prophet (pbuh), were the secret of his (pbuh) success in him (pbuh) calling people to monotheism and fight against corruption, polytheism and superstitions.
In this ceremony, Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Sheikh Muhammad al-Rafiei, in a speech in Arabic, explained the origin of the mission of the Prophet of Islam (pbuh) as the last of the Prophets (pbut). He said that the mission of the Prophet of Mercy (pbuh) flourished and was officially announced on the 27th of Rajab. While his (pbuh) mission existed before all the Prophets (pbut) and religions, Islam was given a new birth.
On top of the fact that in this celebration ceremony, a cultural competition was held among the participating children and teenagers, eulogy reciters of the Ahl al-Bayt (pbut) also recited eulogies in their remembrance.
At the end of the ceremony, prizes were awarded to the winners of the cultural competition.
