Celebration of the birthday of Imam Hassan Mojtabi (a.s.) at the Islamic Centre of England – 2024

On the occasion of Milad, a festive ceremony was held in three languages, Arabic, Persian, and English, at the Islamic Centre of England to celebrate the birth of the blessed member of the Ahlul Bayt (pbut), Imam Hassan Mojtabi (pbuh).

In this celebration, which was held on March 26, 2024, the speakers spoke about the personality and virtues of the second shining star in the sky of Imamate and Wilayat (Succession) and eulogized the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) in their praise.

The Imam of the Islamic Centre of England further pointed out the effects of fasting in daily life and acquiring knowledge. He added: Fasting is the most important and familiar duty of a believer in the Holy Month of Ramadan, and the basic condition for benefiting from this month is external and internal knowledge. Hujjat al-Islam and Muslimeen Moosavi quoted Imam Masoom (pbuh) and clarified: If people had enough knowledge about the Holy Month of Ramadan, they would wish that this month full of grace would not end.

In this ceremony, Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Saeed Khalkhali, in the Arabic section, spoke of Imam Hassan Mujtaba’s (a.s.) good character and generosity. He listed His (pbuh)’s moral qualities as one of the most important characteristics when He (pbuh) confronted difficulties. He added that He (pbuh) was called “The Generous of the Ahl al-Bayt (pbuh)” because of His (pbuh) kindness even towards his most hostile enemies and this was always apparent to them.

In this festive ceremony, after the Arabic and Persian speech, Maghrib congregational prayer was held with the presence of hundreds of fasting people. In a speech in English, Sheikh Mohammad Khani answered the question why Imam Hassan (a.s.) is called Karim Ahl al-Bayt (pbuh).

He added: The generosity of Imam Hassan Mojtabi (a.s.) was due to the greatness of his soul and his inner personality. This generosity was the result of Imam Hassan’s struggle with his own ego, which he inherited from the great Prophet of Islam (pbuh).

At the end of this celebration, the reciters of eulogies of Ahl al-Bayt, peace be upon him, celebrated in three languages by singing the praises of the noble Ahl al-Bayt (pbuh).
