Performance of the glorious Eid al-Fitr Prayer at the Islamic Centre of England – 2024

Eid al-Fitr service and unifying prayer were held in London with the presence of more than a thousand Muslims from different nationalities under the leadership of Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Seyed Hashem Moosavi at the Islamic Centre of England.

This religious duty, which was held on a working day, Wednesday 10th April 2024, was performed in two sessions, due to a large number of participants. Many worshipers offered their prayers in compact and connected lines in corridors and the yard in front of the Islamic Centre of England under the eyes of the residents of Maida Vale in London.

The presence of young Muslims, a number of new Muslims, and a large number of women with their children in this ritual of servitude showed a beautiful manifestation of subservience.

Hujjat al-Islam wa al-Muslimeen Seyed Hashem Moosavi, the Imam of the Islamic Centre of England, in his sermons for the Eid al-Fitr prayer, pointed out in his words that Eid al-Fitr is not an Eid for everyone, but rather according to the commandments of Amir al-Momineen, Imam Ali (AS), this day is an Eid for those whose prayers and fasting have been accepted by God and who have received divine forgiveness.

He called one of the great achievements of the month of Ramadan as repentance and return to God Almighty. In the second sermon of this prayer, he added: After a month of piety and feasting at the banquette of God’s grace, where we have met with the Prophets (pbut) and Saints of God, the devil may tempt after this month by saying that the Holy Month of Ramadan was an exception. So, it is better to try and preserve the spiritual achievements of this month for the following year. Let’s always stay in a state of spirituality of this Holy Month of Ramadan.

In the end, Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Moosavi thanked all those who were present at the Islamic Centre of England in any way to warm the furnace of spirituality, charity, and offerings and serve the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) during the Holy Month of Ramadan.

At the end of this glorious ceremony, worshipers from different nationalities congratulated each other on this great Eid in an atmosphere full of kindness and sincerity.
