Holding the 11th session of weekly webinar on “Empowering Muslim Women”
In an era where so many of people are working or studying from home and have more flexible timetables, Islamic Centre of England is holding few live interactive discussions in different speaker and topics such as weekly webinar on “Empowering Muslim Women”.
The weekly webinar on Empowering Muslim Women is held live every Friday at 4:30 p.m. on virtual networks such as Zoom, YouTube and Facebook.
The 11th session of this webinar, which was held on Friday, 12th August 2022, at 16:30, dedicated its topic to the following subject:
“Understanding the Empowerment of Muslim Women as a Quranic Belief ”
In this meeting, which was addressed by Dr Fereshteh Sasani, she spoke for 45 minutes on the subject of the meeting.
In this webinar, Dr Fereshteh Sasani briefly reviewed that Empowering during the years after the revolution, both in terms of policy making and planning, sometimes focused on economic empowerment and sometimes political and social.
She asked: However, is empowering a Quranic belief or a social belief? and she explained that the Quran has new and pure words in this field.
Dr Sasani also said: Until we do not reach this Quranic belief, naturally we will not succeed in other discussions.
She continued that as a result, the arrangement of Quranic verses in the field of empowering to reach a belief will be very effective. If this belief is realized in our existence, it will be easy to implement it in other dimensions of this issue.
Dr. Fereshteh Sasani has a specialized doctorate in comparative interpretation and has experience as an advisor to the Minister of Interior and General Director of the Women’s Affairs Office in previous years.
At the second part of the meeting in the Q&A section, the meeting’s moderator, HIWM Seyed Amin Shamaei, read the questions raised by the participants in the meeting and the speaker answered them.
The session, which lasted 60 minutes, ended at 17:30.
