Holding the 102nd session of the weekly webinar on Islam and contemporary issues
In an era where so many people work or study from home and have more flexible timetables, the Islamic Centre of England is holding a few live interactive discussions with speakers and topics such as weekly webinars on Islam and contemporary issues.
The weekly webinar on Islam and contemporary issues are held live every Monday at 6:00 p.m. on virtual networks such as Zoom, YouTube, Hidayat TV, and Facebook. However, exceptionally this week it was held at 5:00 pm due to a coincidence with the Maghrib prayer.
The 102nd session of this webinar, which was held on Monday, 6th March 2023, dedicated its topic to the following subject:
“Genetic Determinism ”
This meeting, addressed by HIWM Sheikh Abbas Bahmanpour, spoke for 40 minutes on the subject of the meeting.
Sheikh Abbas Bahmanpour completed his BA at Middlesex University’s Islamic College in 2009 and received his MA from the same university in 2011. He has also spent a year in Syria studying Arabic. He has been working as the imam of Resalat Islamic Society since 2013 in Finland. He is also completing his Ph.D. at Helsinki University on the topic of the Quran and Shi’a Islam.
In the second part of the meeting in the Q&A section, Mr. Seyed Mahdi Abedi the meeting’s moderator asked the questions raised by the participants in the meeting and the speaker answered them.
The session, which lasted 60 minutes, ended at 6:00 p.m.
