Sheikh Afzal Merali is an Islamic scholar specialising in Islamic sciences and law, with a keen interest in Islamic and religious history and the methodology of Tabligh (Missionary).
He is a lecturer at the Hawza Ilmiyya of England and is currently studying for a Masters degree in Quranic sciences and Tafseer (exegesis of the Holy Quran).
Sheikh Afzal started his Hawza studies in the UK, after which he migrated to Lebanon, studying in its Hawzas for ten years, and then moved to Qom and continued his studies there for five years, at the level of Dars al-Kharij. He worked extensively in (Missionary) tabligh and the media during this time, learning the Tabligh skills and methods.
